The Master of Chaos and some of its Corruptor minions appear to wield a similar blade to the Mageblade, with a blackened appearance with a glowing red blade. It can safely be assumed that this sword was wielded by many heroes before you, using it against the Corruptors for countless years. The Mageblade is the hardest weapon to get in the game, with all the quests in the game minus the last one needed to be completed to obtain this weapon. The Mageblade is the strongest sword in the game, with the damage output the highest in the game.It will replenish the same amount of energy even if the enemy that is hit has a lower or higher level than you.Energy stealing means it will replenish your energy (cost for using spells, originally the blue meter on top right, beside the magic selection) every HIT and not every kill by approximately 10-15% percent every hit.Should you equip the Trinket of Fire to this sword and the attack attribute is maxed out, you will have attained the maximum damage output for swords in the game. Equipping the Trinket of Fire to this sword will increase its maximum damage while the other two will give an effect to your sword. As with any other sword, equipping any trinket to the sword will change its look/appearance.Trinket of Fire: + 40% additional fire damage Once all of the shards have been collected, The Mageblade can be formed by going into the Chambers of Power. Hall of The Dwarven Kings for the middle of the blade.Chambers of The Flame for the shoulder of the blade.Overseer's Lair for the hilt of the blade.Chamber of The Mageblade for the end of the blade. The locations of the four shards of The Mageblade are: Unfortunately, before the hero fights the dual-bladed Corruptor which killed the hero's Master (which serves as a boss here), said Corrupter tells the hero that it has broken the Mageblade into four parts. The Hero is told of The Mageblade in the second quest given by the Elder, "Find the Legendary Weapon." He is told to go to the Chamber of The Mageblade, where the Mageblade is held. However, do not rely on this weapon solely for offensive power because some ranged enemies can still pose a threat. If the circle is missing, the ground is gone.It is the only sword which can deal damage to a Corruptor and can deflect magic from enemies (such as Corruptors and etc.)Īs the final sword in the game, this sword has significantly increased power compared to previous swords, being capable of killing most enemies in one to two hits. If the circle is there, the section of ground is there. There is a pillar for each section of the ground that can fall away. When you use Dimension Rift, you will be able to see the pillars in the background with clarity, and there are circles at the top of each. You will have your floor again, if you don't mind being chased by Chaos Energies during your fight, though Chaos Energies can conveniently be "killed" by the Mageblade. However, if you use your Dimension Rift spell, it will make a floor out of energy to fill in the places where the ground collapsed. It is nearly impossible to dodge or deflect the homing Magic Bolts when they are fired from directly above you and you don't have room to manuever. If too much of the floor falls away, you may become trapped on a small "island" where the corruptor can rain Bolts down on you. Also, the Corruptor Lord will occasionally fly down into range of your sword, which is nice. Reflect the fireballs from the first boss, then when you fight the last boss run to the far left. Portions of the ground will fall away, giving you much less room to manuever. After the Corruptor lord has lost a portion of his life, the battlefield will change. Dragon Grasp will not pull the Corruptor Lord down to you or you to him, just deal damage. Also, you can attack him with your Dragon Grasp spell for a small amount of damage, after all, a lot of small amounts add up to a big amount. As you now wield the Mageblade, you can deflect these Magic Bolts back at the Corruptor Lord and deal a sizable chunk of damage. He will alternate between launching a couple of Magic Bolts upward that will fall to the ground/platform and launching a single Magic Bolt that will follow you like a homing missle. The Corruptor Lord uses his Dark Mageblade as a ranged weapon, using it to launch Magic Bolts at you from above. If you are quick on the draw, you can jump up and hit him with your sword while he is ascending, but you will only get four hits in at the most. The Corruptor Lord will immediately jump up into the air and fight you from there, out of the reach of your sword and Magic Bolts.
